Marc Love doesn’t remember falling asleep but he was jolted awake from a train passing. It was dark outside so that made sense but he last remembered now he was in England.
The only person next to him was a portly woman on her phone. The phones volume was turned up and the woman giggled about what they were saying. It was a sort of accent Marc didn’t understand but he knew it was English.
“We sure are lucky to make the last train like we did.”
She looked at him she seemed too happy or drunk.
“Would’ve had to wait until 6am at the least. Makes me happy.”
Marc just nodded yeah. Yeah happy. Was he with this woman. She went back to her phone laughing.
“You ever watch this show? Love is blind? I’m in bits.”
That’s what Marc felt like split up and diced like an onion. But for some reason he couldn’t remember what had happened before. Just that now he was here.
“Uh where does this train uh end?”
“You taking the piss luv? It’s right there. You must’ve had more than me. We’re going to Cambridge.”
