Marc Love could see everyone inside. It was night and the fluorescent lights were the only light for awhile.
There was a family with kids, they had milk shakes. Something Marc hadn’t had in years. He felt his mouth water.
But he had business to do.
Scanning the place he saw two men who were alone. Or just one as a woman appeared next to one.
He felt sort of like a date. Although he hasn’t been on once since his wife there was something similar here.
When he entered the diner a small bell dinged above his head and he felt the man who was alone looking at him.
He turned towards his table a made a pleasant smile. He knew he had to say “balloon animals” that’s how the job started.
Ten minutes later after a lot of staring and BAKA cussing. They both decided to order milkshakes.
“Cant say anything about this to anyone.”
BAKA had gotten a strawberry milkshake and him a chocolate.
“The waitress reminded me of my mom. She loved strawberry milkshakes” Baka said.
