It was like the life of the cafe was drained out. They floated different ideas around for one week Sydney delivered coffee to peoples homes. But that didn't work. Whenever she'd drop the coffee off the people would ask her how she was, if she wanted to come in and stay awhile.
Sydney couldn't because she had to run more orders.
Then the people started putting requests that she stays and talks to them. But Sydney didn't have the time.
It was like dominos that just kept falling forward.
Soon it was just her and in the store. They didn't leave, they hoped that every next idea that they came up with would change things.
Meanwhile, McKayla was at the airport. Her mom had told her to always get there three hours ahead, even if the flight wasn't that long.
"One time when I flew I was there two hours early and the security line was out the door, barely made it."
She told her this while she was driving her to the airport.
McKayla nodded "Yeah, well thats why were going now, so I don't have to worry about that."
The airport was dead, a small town and an early flight, there was no one. She had to wait for security just to open.
