In the reflection he saw the car. But something instinctual told him not to turn. Look ahead. Keep your head straight you’re not doing anything wrong.

Part of him wanted to yell at McKayla “That’s  it, that’s the fucking car, it’s right there.”

Part of him just wanted her to see it. To him it stuck out his eyes were drawn to it. To her it was just another car another piece of the city nothing else.

He always thought that of her. That she didn’t look around. She was just in her head. Not like him he was always looking around observing. Trying to avoid anything that was his head.

O my at the counter did he venture to look back at the street but it was clear. He didn’t pull around or anything.

The pizzas he liked. Arranged all together, as if to signify all the choices you could have the life paths. He wanted to have them all, wanted to try one of the more exotic ones like buffalo chicken.

“What you having today boss.”

“Oh uh I’ll go uh just pepperoni please.”

“Any sauce?”

“Ranch please just ranch.”
