The cup was big. Reminded him of big slurpee cups from 7-eleven. He could fit half his daily water need in it. So he would fill it and bring it back to his room. So long as he drank enough at the caf then the water in this cup would be good enough to last him in the dorm.
He thought about his ex. He missed her. She was now working at a zoo. Picking up literal elephant shit. He laughed at this. They laughed together actually because it was a funny job description. Thinking about it now though in his westward facing room he thought about Rachel. It was sad. She had gotten such good grades. Back when they were still together he had always thought she would become something big like a doctor or professor.
Now she was working at a zoo. It was strange because more and more these giant figures from his life were becoming normal people. The buffest guy he knew was now just selling car insurance. The prettiest girl from high school now looked like a mom.
After letting out a sigh he imagined how others thought of him now. Howard was never the most X, Y, or Z. So nobody would be disappointed by who he was today. In fact they probably didn't think of him at all.
He looked at the big cup once again. Damn. empty.
