On the radio the detective was reading out his details. Because of the reported missing person, they could do this. Only because of this. The Sargent, his Sargent, was at one point really good. Awards and accolades, promotions, he even ran the whole place at one point.
But the year before or maybe the year before that he'd been slipping. He had hunches, that were usually right, but broke too many rules. He was taking off as Chief this year, and they just keep him with him. Like his partner, because he's useful, but needs to be watched a bit.
The detective liked him, but this also meant he usually didn't have a partner out in the wild. They'd sometimes stick a rookie with him or something.
"He's a medium build white man. Brown hair, usually a slight beard, but his wife said he had shaved before he left. So maybe were looking for a bald man. Over."
The radio replied.
"Copy that over."
He was then left in silence, he didn't really have a destination to go to. If he went to woman's house now she'd be more worked up. He decided it was probably best to leave it for the morning.
