Not that it Mattered

as reply to altercation in the parking lot

He shut the blinds, but sat next to the window. From the side he looked out, but there was nothing. He tried opening the window again, but again it wouldn't budge. The light from the parking lot shown into his room, he hadn't noticed before how dark it was. In the field there was nothing, dirt maybe it wasn't the season he thought.

His breathing had calmed down but he was still on edge. He was sweating now. He went to the sink and splashed cold water in his face. This brought him back a little. But he still sat next to the window. Looking out from the side. He imagined in this way no one could see him. But there wasn't anything.

Suddenly, a white car a range rover pulled into the lot and just sat under his window. Lights on engine on, and it just sat there. A similar car to the one that took him here he thought.

He had only been there a night, but it felt like longer, his phone he had sat near the window had no service in this room, so he could just look at it. Go through the pictures. There was even a charger here, not that it mattered.
