That night he had dreams of his ex. Not that he’d seen her, it was a bit strange. In that it wasn’t her or she’d become a dog. A wild dog like those that live near people but never in their homes. The whole time she kept trying to get him to go into a river. He was so hot walking next to the river. He was sweating, and indeed when he woke up he was still swimming.
But he kept walking instead. She would come up on the bank and walk with him for a little. Which was nice but when she’d jump into the water he keep on walking by the shore. He just couldn’t do it.
Before he woke up she had stopped and the river just had ended almost down a drain pipe or it was more a well. The dog gave him a small bark and then jumped in the well. There was no splash so he wanted to check on her wanted to help. Instead as he neared the edge a force or something pulled him in too. And he plummeted into the darkness.
He woke up sweating.
