Feel Different

as reply to coffee boy

He imagined the conversations they’d have. They were all in a sort of premed dorm. So she probably studied that, maybe she wanted to be a doctor. Or a vet he thought, she looked kind and caring. She probably knew with certainty what she wanted to be he thought.

This was different than him. He knew every morning he wanted to drink coffee. Then at night he liked have a salad after his meal. But he didn’t really know what he wanted to be. Currently he was sitting as a philosophy major in this science school. Before that he was psychology. He figured he’d stick with the first letter.

Still now all his classes were across campus and while interesting, they weren’t so exciting. Maybe they were all the intro classes. Everyone had to take them so no one cared. Just needed a pass.

He was still trying to do well. Morning after the coffee he had a nice spot in the center of campus he’d go there and prep. Prep for lab classes and then read for philosophy. He liked telling people he was in that class he didn’t see anyone else from his college there. Made him feel different.
