He never felt like he belonged in with the med students. He had a problem even with them calling themselves that. Or premed more what it was. He hated that, once he got into a debate with a friend back home.
"Premed? We haven't taken the MCAT yet. Almost 60% of us won't make it. We are just going to school to take a test. Just call it like that."
His other friend stoned or something just nodded along.
"I never thought of it like that, its pretty weird."
That friend and him and stopped texting as much. Part of going to college he guessed. The friend had gone to another school. Not too far, but almost too far for either to drive while meeting everyone here.
Part of this thinking was the reason he didn't like the med students. It just didn't make sense, what were they gaining by calling themselves that. He was thinking about this while walking to his dorm. There there was a high concentration of med students. Some people even took medical related classes. It probably made the most sense to take nursing or something like that. But he didn't know anyone who was doing that. No one thought like that.
