He was always doing that. Beginning something. Joining something. but then never staying. Quitting. people thought he was interesting though because he had done many things. But he had never seen things through. Maybe that's why he stayed there even though he wanted to leave the class. Drinking his water. He had to pee. But he kept it in. Thirty more minutes.
He kept taking sips. Thinking about his kidneys diluting his urine. Too much coffee. He was afraid of
kidney
stones. Heard that they were more painful than giving birth. Women had said so.
To get through the final 30 minutes he thought about the caf. He wasn't hungry but it would be a good break from this philosophy class. It would be a pleasant walk over to the dorm. Maybe 10 or so minutes. And then he would wait in line and get his food. So 15 or so minutes total later he'd be sitting down and not having to listen to all this dreadful inquiry into human condition.
There might even be one of the girls from the med school there.
