He had thought about this rumor. That there had once been a government + corporate funded program where some people would go up to a space station for several years and watch people on earth. Surveillance. Not to keep the people on earth in check. No they never intervened. Instead they just watched... or this is what the blog articles he had read said. They would watch and gather data. It was never an official program. Never any evidence that was considered official. Only evidence prsented by citizen journalists who were often associated with conspiracy theories.

He thought of how nice it would be to go up into space for a few years and just watch other people. That seemed like a dream compared to being stuck on campus or running from these crazy people who were chasing him now. The college degree was becoming more useless with each passing semester. Was it even worth the time and money staying in school? What would he do after? Well he didn't even know what he would do now so maybe the main benefit of being in school wa deferral of making a decision. He did mis Layla though. that he knew for sure. He had to get back home soon if even just to see her.
