Pete decided then that it was a good time to head out. He gave no indication to his wife because she seemed so engrossed into whatever she was focused on. The air outside always reminded him how nice it felt to be outside. Still he wouldn't want to be out too long. There was no plan besides head towards that one
cafe
.
He wasn't committed to actually going into the cafe yet. But he needed some sort of north star to be guided by. So he figured why not head towards the cafe. If he didn't want to go in there it would be fine because it was smack gob in the center of town. There would be other things to do or see around it.
Pete's wife and Pete lived only a ten minute walk from the town center. Back when he was younger it would only be a six minute walk but these days he moved more slowly.
It was exciting to approach the main town center. He had not gone there in quite some time. People if they knew him in real life would find that strange because apparently there was a housing criss and everybody was trying to buy houses near town centers and here he and his wife were, just a ten minute walk from it all and they barely went.
Maybe they should move he thought. Although his wife would never have that. She was commited to that house. She was dead set on dying there.
The town square now was just two blocks away. The cars that were parked on the street here were often people who parked here and walked to the shops. It was a Saturday afternoon with good weather so he expected there to be a lot of people bustling around.
