Part of him would miss
Spacecity
here and there. It snuck up on him. Different feelings. He remembered when you first get there you feel a bit trapped. Not immediately. Immediately you can't believe you're in space. You meet people everything is new and exciting, but then it fades, and you can only do some many laps. The coffee. Just everything becomes a bit of the same.
Then he doesn't know why but you calm down, you find a rhythm and you just do. You enjoy the coffee and the views and everything. For some people that feeling didn't go away so they would want to leave. There were always some people who liked their old life better. Pete wasn't one of them. He had wanted to leave, and badly. Being up there for him meant a lot of things, but a big one was escape.
Not for others, he didn't know why they would come up. Maybe it was confusion, or people just didn't really think about what they wanted to do with their lives.
He wasn't sure. This always confused him, if they had such a good life down there, why would they want to be here? What made them think this would make their lives better.
