In response to post on music:
The last 10-15 years I have been listening to an obscene amounts of Nigerian and Ghanaian music. I can't explain how I feel when I listen to African music in general. There is something about the beats that touches my soul. The impact on my mood is instantons. So much so that I have seriously considered making the music... I want to contribute to the creation of the drug I am so addicted to.
To give you some background, I have always loved music. All types of music. I am a fan of deep lyrics and 2Pac rap still is the best type of poetry to me. But I am more addicted to beats and instruments. That is why I am a fan of Arabic and Indian music. The amount of instruments that is standard in that type of music is grand.
Recently, there has been a lot of attention to Afro beats coming out of Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. Beyonce even released a whole album with a bunch of African Artists.
My favorite artist at the moment is a genius called Brymo. Another Nigerian artist that knows exactly what I need to listen to when I wake up in the morning and face a hard day.
There are so many young, talented and unpopular talent. There is a serious amount of talent in the continent and the internet is exposing their skills. I sometimes dream about getting a chance to collaborate with one or two of them to create a song or two. A girl can dream.
