I don’t like horror movies. I do not understand how people derive entertainment from extreme violence and graphic deaths.
Some will say it’s fiction. That’s my exact point why would such a genre of movies be depicted.
I stopped Game of Thrones right after the Red Wedding episode. It was too gory. For me.
My kind of movies are Action Flicks, Thrillers, Spy etc
Give me Jack Bauer, Jason Bourne or James Bond any day over Scream, It, or I know what you did last summer.

Though I completed game of thrones. I just turn away and close my eyes for specific scenes like kids do. But horror is entirely gory so I don't bother with that.
And Jason Borne is my favorite from your list. I watched it so many times.
