Funny in this world, with all this
innovation
and advancements of
civilization
, you still couldn't find somebody to string a few words together in a way that made the reader feel something. Often
writers
blame readers or
social media
, saying nobody's got the attention span anymore. And though it's true that people's attention span is shorter than shit, so what?

Well I like that people are too busy pretending that it's the readers fault. Makes it easy for me to have a job in this biz. I'm not talented or anything, I'm just one of the few folks around who can string together words and didn't go into one of the more 'trad' professions.

sell junk to people. I know the younger me wouldn't be proud of me today, that still kind of irks me. But it's kind of easy to forget the feeling when everybody around you tells you "you're cool. I wish i had a cool job like you."

Yeah sure, I tell them. But they think I'm just saying that to be cool so they think i'm even cooler. I shrug it off and that just does it even further.

But one day I ran into someone who didn't give me that same bullshit. Didn't put me on no pedestal or nothing. Told me straight to my face I'm a piece of shit. That person became my best friend.
