There is a lot of things happening on my
commute
, or I think, maybe its coffee induced hyper awarenss. Or maybe its just the thrill of the rat race. But with all that there are things always happening on my commute, the streets being cleaned, all the while new windows installed. I think it’s the time of day I go. Its when builders and everyone try to get things done before the morning rush hour, but don’t end up starting until then. The shops aren’t open so that is also nice, no moms running errands or walking in the streets.
There are a few
regulars
I see often sanity checks to my route, highlighter wheel. A longhaired lycra clad commuter who has an extremely bright front wheel. Most days we meet at the corner with the church. I can tell if I left late if I see him closer to my house. Or if he had a crazy night if I see him closer to work. A few times I have been worried if I don’t see him.
Its light now too, which makes it better, or more interesting, but also kind of sad because I can’t wear the head torch. But you can see more. Like today there was man in an area where people smoke, just looking ahead. I wanted to tell him you should do that in a nicer area, but maybe he was just in a post cigarette bliss. Or maybe he thought that was a nice place.
