Thoughts about my favorite college cafe cafe college coffee laptoppers newspaper first dates

Almost everyday, my favorite
cafe
in
college
drew a crowd. The only days it'd lay bare were holidays when almost all the students went home. Besides that it was a squeeze, and I'd often have to share a table with a 'stranger' during peak hours.

I did my work at the cafe for a list of reasons. One of the diverse reasons people happened to be there. There would not only be other
laptoppers
like myself, but also older folks reading the
newspaper
or a physical book. There were also the
first dates
and the old friends catching up after some time apart, picking things up like they'd been together just yesterday.

The variety of people and their aims made being there feel more alive, even if I were just cramming for an upcoming exam. Much more alive than my undecorated room. And since I didn't know how to make
coffee
back then, this was the place to go for some good brew. Altogether, the stimulation and dopamine from the coffee and the interesting people made 'studenting' so much more fun.
