Interior design

This week, I took time to rearrange the space where I work.

I tend to need to do this every so often. But this time, I went the extra mile. I actually googled how to make a small space seem spacious and neat. I looked at some simple furniture ideas and how to salvage the things I already had.

For some reason, I love the design phase of any project I am working on.
There is so much information out there on the web. And I need to stay away from Aliexpress.com. There is everything you can think of on that site. And the prices are more reasonable than amazon.com. Especially if you are willing to wait for the delivery.

I got a large world map sticker a while back for a really good price. It was sitting somewhere collecting dust. This time, I carefully placed it on the wall in the back of my table and chair. It gave my room an official head quarters look.

Then I organized the shelf in the back with books, notebooks and my journal. Seeing it daily reminds me of the work I did and to push on to the next version.

A little interior design never hurt anyone.
I tidy up occasionally, but inevitably my workspace ends up a mess. Some people are shocked to find out that my workspace appears to be very chaotic and cluttered. None of it bothers me. Sure I'd like to have a nice and neat space, but I know my M.O. and I won't keep it that way.

the only times i want a clean desk is when i imagine seeing myself from somebody else's eyes.

but inherently i actually don't mind a chaotic desk lol

Hmm - That's how I used to be as well but once I clean up, I feel the uptick in my mood. And I see a difference in other areas of my life - like diet and sleep too.
