There was nowhere to go. He wished he had a place. Back in the day he'd stop by the co-op. For some reason he didn't feel welcomed there anymore. He walked around without aim, carrying The Idiot in between his elbow and chest.

It wasn't as cold as he remembered Novembers...

The emptiness was nice. That's not how it was when he first came to campus. As a freshmen the hum and buzz of the  cafe got him high. The more people the better. Conversations. Laptos. Readers. People just staring out into the window.

Now he was sick of the cafe always...
