George was dead. Layla had thought it was George speaking to her, but it turned out it was somebody she did not know. But he had shape shifted so that for a moment he appeared to be George.

"Get down," the figure said. Now it didn't look like George.

She didn't know what to do.

The figure pointed the

up at her and began shooting. She was already down by this time. Her ears were ringing. Behind her she could feel bodies getting pelted by bullets. They were most likely police officers coming to the scene of the crime.
