A Break

as reply to get to bed

Keith was dumbfounded in a daze. There's no way that was Chris he thought. But did it matter? He had to sleep. But Chris just can't channel communication like that. There's no way. Did it matter he found himself asking again. He got up quickly the skinny guy seemed a bit confused. He walked quickly to his bed. His heart was beating and he was warm. Was that Chris? Or was I just hearing what he would have said. Did that matter? If I still experienced that but it wasn't real did it matter. Like after a bad dream you wake up scared, but nothing happened. He looked around. Everything was in its place. Except his phone's light was on. What the hell? He opened, navigated to the settings, but it wouldn't stop. He turned it off. He never turned it off, it had to be like a year now. Sometimes he thought it would die but he never did it on purpose. He sat there for three minutes. He felt like he was in the den, in a cocoon. Unreachable, but also at peace. He felt warm, and the light turned off. He switched it on again. A news story from Earth flashed by. The Blue Man has been Found!
