Cal wondered what to wear his first day. He knew he'd had to change. The brochure said everyone dresses the same in . Helps people feel more together, united for the common good. Cal was sad about this. For the past almost three years he always wore blue socks. They weren't official Blue Man socks, because he couldn't afford those. But they were blue, and he was certain actually a more Blue Man blue than the actual official ones. He wore them for the last time and looked at the mirror. Maybe he could sneak them on. There was a sadness that welled up inside of him. He clenched his jaw so as to not cry. Remembering his brother, come on man don't cry over that, its okay don't worry. The wave subsided, be he felt drained. His bag had a secret compartment, so he balled up the socks and put them in there. Sniffling a little he got ready. Before he left his room he looked around. Again a wave came, but he breathed a bit. He went back again, thinking maybe he should bring his blue book in case he got bored. But he told himself he didn't need that. In the car his mom was talking excitedly.
