Yesterday I explained that I will be documenting the process of breaking free from the 9-5 in what I have called, Project Freedom. Today is day 1 of documenting the journey, but it's something that I've wanted to do for a long time. Documenting here on adagia will help to keep me accountable.
So here we go....

So why am I starting with affiliate marketing?

So why am I starting with affiliate marketing?
- I believe a core skill in any business or endeavor is marketing I want to become an expert marketer for whatever I'm trying to build or promote.
- I have tried other businesses (ecommerce, Amazon FBA, WordPress web design). I have learned that no matter how good the product or service is that I offer, if nobody knows about it, it's just a hobby. To replace the 9-5 I need more than a hobby. I want to hone in and focus on the process of marketing and sales instead of product creation. For that reason I will be using other people's products, courses, software etc. to build my foundation of income and skill development in sales and marketing.
- I can scale the business without having to be present. As noted above, with the other businesses I tried to start, it involved me putting in more time working in the business instead of on the business. I don't want another job to work in. I want freedom and flexibility to be able to scale a business without always having to be present.
Ok, so what am I doing first. I believe it's important to have a structured guide, course and mentor, while taking strategic action. I have been following an expert in affiliate marketing, Anthony Morrison, for a while now. I signed up for his course that involves a process of building and implementing an affiliate marketing funnel. I'm giving myself 40 days to complete the course of 30 lessons and build the foundation for Project Freedom and an affiliate marketing business.
As I move forward, I will be providing the highlights of the course, what I'm learning, the tools that I'm using and all outcomes for successes and failures, including income and expense reports.
