Love thought about this while driving. His gas tank was near empty now. He usually re-fueled before dipping below the 1/4 mark. This time it was late and he close enough to
Gas City
to arrive without stopping.
Was that the right decision? It didn't matter. Whether he fueled up at empty or at the 1/4 mark wouldn't make a difference in his life. So why had he thought about that decision? Distracting himself from the real decision. Like whether he should've left the church. Whether he should've been at that church in the first place. Whether he should've stayed six months.
When you began asking one real question, all the real questions began flowing in. It became too much to bare. Instead he turned to asking simple questions. Like whether to fill up his gas tank at 1/4 mark or at empty.
Tomorrow morning he would figure out how to get the answers on what happened to Linda.
