Regular people didn't have time to actually find out where the 

Blue Man

was. They could watch his videos. And sit in dark bars, drinking one more than they should over loud theories of whether the Blue Man was still alive or not.

But a regular person didn't have the resources to actually search for The Blue Man. To actually find him. So nobody could verify whether The Blue Man really was indeed dead or alive. The long rants on the internet were merely digital versions of bar theories.

This was a problem, thought

billionaire Marius X. Nobody knew how Marius got his billions. In fact nobody knew he had billions. It was all tied to an

address. But nobody actually knew who Marius X was. All that ws known was that he lived in the city of Berlin.

This last fact was the only thing that was at least admitted to by the account owner. A signature, signed by Marius X's key, for the message "I live in Berlin" was published. This meant that only Marius X could have signed that message. That's how keys worked. So that meant one of three things.

That Marius X indeed did live in Berlin.
Marius X was lying.
Or that someone had taken his key and was signing messages on his behalf.

Marius X had one goal. To finally verify whether the Blue Man was alive or dead. Out of all the people in the world with adequate resources for the search... he was the only one who was committed. The search was on.

He hired investigators privately. Published job postings by signing messages with his ethereum key. People who did the work were paid in full. Marius X had kept his word on every successful contract. A few people had tried to claim that Marius X didn't pay them. But most of them had been proven to be grifters. Trying to throw dirt on Marius X's reputation.
