"Derek, you like tired." His sergeant said.
"Is it that damn case? Your not a cadet now, you can't just pull all nighters and expect to be sharp the next day."
"I think I found something."
"With the case? What do you mean?"
"Like I think I figured it out, how they hid, where they went. At least pretty sure."
"Pretty sure? If I even hint to the supervisor about opening the case back up, you better be DAMN SURE."
Derek paused, averted eye contact, then looked back.
"Give me two days, let me patrol the area, I think if I talk to some people on the ground we'll find it. The dog or the car is all we need."
"The dog or the car is all we need." The sergeant repeated smiling. "You're right that is all we need."
"Okay, Derek, you get two days, thats it, no more than that, I can cover you for that long."
"I won't let you down, don't worry Sarg." With this he saluted.
"Derek we don't do that here get out of here. "
Derek closed the door went back to his desk, and read what he wrote.
"The dog or the car is ALL WE NEED."
