Devour it whole. Like a python. In high school he remembered kids talking about a video where a python tried swallowing a gator whole. And it exploded.

Apparently the video was disgusting. Derek never got to see it. But the kids told him not to. So he listened.

After finishing off the cooled down coffee... he would swallow the case whole. It had been four hours since he ate dinner. Which meant he wasn't hungry, but was also not lethargic.

Perfect thinking conditions. He'd spend all night in this cafe. He wouldn't sleep tonight.

Or if he did... he would only sleep half the usual amount.
