“Just been you know, preoccupied.”

“The usual order then?” He started walking to get a cup for the coffee.
“No, no thanks not for me. Trying to cut back.”
Kevin put the cup back.
“Okay, let me know if I can help with anything else.”
“Oh I will don’t worry.” And with that Stephen walked into the store.
“Thank god, usually he stays and talks your ear off.” Jerry grumbled under his breath. A skill he learned from years working in service.
“Yeah strange isn’t it, I guess everyone just has off days. Never know what’s going on in their lives.” Cathy said. Shed a new hire to replace Marc.
Kevin shrugged but it stayed with him. What’s going on?
He checked the back usually Elena was there, but maybe it will be later. Seemed like something she’d laugh about the talker stops talking.
