"Yo you got any weed?" Jack asked, thinking it might be cool to get high on the play ground.
"I, uh, wait check there. He pointed to a glove box, behind there. Yeah, then you gotta pull out the plastic part."
"Holy shit dude. Its like a joint maybe."
"From past Alan to us now. Thank you past Alan, thank you."
They both looked up at the sky, like that was where the past was. Or Alan.
They had never thought of that before, where they went.
They pulled up behind the swings. Turned the car off.
"Keep it behind all that until we know we're alone. Prolly someone watching you know."
He turned off the car.
"Don't undo the door the lights." He turned more knobs the lights were off. aside from the green clock on the front. It said 9:30pm.
"Dude no ones gunna be here."
"Just wait."
They both sat in silence hyper aware of their surroundings.
"You don't think they got like infrared cameras? Like to see smoking."
"Dude we used math books from like the 80s."
They crept out of the car, joint in hand on woodchips and then sat on the swing.
"Don't light it yet."
"Damn its so quiet."
