Watching Imogen Howe

as reply to wondering

One thing Jack could do was wait. When
Imogen Howe
left the room for her morning walk he didn't mind. He had all the time he needed. All the time in the world. And he used it to his full advantage. He'd check the pamphlets down in the lobby. Then all of the pictures in the hallways, on all three floors. He liked these there was ship theme, then a coastal theme, then just sand pictures.

He wouldn't talk to anyone. He'd just move slowly around. Slowly mosey there and then over there. It was the only time he felt normal.

After some time he went to the dinning room/bar/pool hall of the hotel. It was made to look like they were on a pirate ship. He didn't know, but it had cost a lot. So much that for about two years, they could only serve fish and chips on a Friday. He learned this later from the front desk guy.

In the room/bar/pool hall place he got a ginger beer and just sat down at one of the tables. He picked up the newspaper from the front desk and used that as a prop. He was really just watching.
