finally getting in Toronto Kendrick Lamar Funions OVO

as reply to Watching

Few months passed. Dave did some jobs. He and BAKA saw some messed up shit. Shit that Dave found messed up, but not BAKA. It was all normal to him.

"Just brush it off, fam." or "Just a another day, bruv."

For a few weeks BAKA strung Dave along. Many long nights parked outside of night clubs waiting for the mark to show up. BAKA never said who the mark was. Just described him. From the description, Dave could only assume that the target was
Kendrick Lamar
.

One night Dave fell asleep on night watch. He had been eating
Funions
. When he woke up he woke up suddenly. Yelled out, "is Kendrick here?"

BAKA looked at him and laughed.

"What?" Dave said. But BAKA couldn't stop for an annoying amount of time. Dave wiped Funion crumbs off his lips and chest and tried to straighten out. Tried to get a view of the club entrance.

"I think it's time." BAKA said.

Dave looked over.

"I think it's time you learn the truth."

Without looking at the club entrance anymore, BAKA turned the engine on and drove Dave to a hotel room. It wasn't Dave's hotel. But it didn't seem like BAKA's either.

However the hotel room was empty. It didn't seem like it was anyone's room. BAKA pulled out a bottle from the mini fridge and handed it to him. Oberon.

He said it in his
Toronto
accent. "oh-ber-on".

"Michigan ting come across the border eh."

It was malty and sticky. Dave liked it enough. Cold. Probably too cold. He would've let it warm up a bit before drinking the wheat ale.

"I need to tell you some ting fam. There is no mark for you. You're just a young gun you see? There's no way we'd put you to clean up man like K Dot. That's crazy man."

Dave took a sip of his beer. Didn't say anything waited for BAKA to continue talking. BAKA rubbed his chin. Placed the beer down. Looked out the window with his neck crooked.

"See the ting is we don't need that man murked. That's what the internet thinks but that's not the kind of blood we want you understand?"

"Yeah that makes sense."

"But we think you proved yourself. So you got the green light from above. You're going to be working with me now. Actually working. No more fake staking out clubs like before, okay fam?"

"Yeah."

BAKA grabbed the beer and reached out. They clanked and took a long drink each. And this is how Dave began working with BAKA and the
OVO
crew.

Well he had to hold himself off from saying OVO. That was just an assumption. Last time Dave assumed something... well he turned out wrong. So the only thing he knew was that he was working for BAKA. and it seemed that there was someone above. BAKA always would mention this without ever naming a name. Capo or Boss. The man above. Green light from the above. Things like that.

Dave never had to kill anyone in the few months he worked with BAKA. It was relatively easy work. Most of the time driving to someone and intimidating them and listening to BAKA say a few obscure code messages that Dave couldn't understand.

The pay was decent and Dave wouldn't know what else he'd be doing with his life so he considered this overall a good arrangement.

One day he got a text from BAKA. An address. "Quick." he texted.

When Dave looked it up it turned out to be a hotel. Quite a nice one actually. He put the address into the GPS and started his Lexus over to the destination. He'd be there in 18 minutes.
