Danny took him into a room with the leader. It was just the three of them. Blayne didn't need to speak or do anything or even need to be in the room. Blayne couldn't explain why Danny was showing him so much. Later he would. By then it would be too late.
The belly wobbled before the large frame sat down in an office chair that sagged and moaned as he plotted down into it. Danny and Blayne remained standing. Blayne felt his hands awkward, alternating between keeping them crossed in front of them and tucked into his pockets.
"So 75 ETH, boss?"
"Seventy five. No more. No less."
Danny took his phone and called someone. He didn't carry his own crypto wallet. He knew someone could jump him and take all of his funds. Instead he trusted it all with a mystery person nobody knew.
"Yeah. The address I sent yesterday. Do it."
The Leader went to a bright page on his monitor. It was a cheap monitor with a greasy glare. Something he probably salvaged from the yard.
He refreshed two times before he nodded at Danny. "Looks good. You ready?"
"Yeah."
The meaty face and the eyes behind the flesh looked at Blayne, "are you?"
"Yeah," he lied.
