BAKA decided then he would leave. The night was best, likely no one could get up in time to stop him. He would just have to make it through the day. He asked Marc if he would want to run to town. Then he'd make sure to park so he could get out quick. Easy he thought.
"Give us a hand will you boys."
Denver wheeled himself out to the porch, and point to a tree.
"I don't mean to be a burden, but that whole tree's dead you see. Its got to go. Sadly, but nothing lasts forever." He cleared his throat. "We tried to call some people, but they were so, I mean to drive out here, it would have cost an arm and a leg, but I was thinking, or was asking could you guys give it ago. We got everything, all the tools, all the food."
"Of course." Marc said.
BAKA just nodded in approval. He'd never taken a tree from the ground. It wasn't particularly big, but it wasn't small.
"I think what you gotta do is just, go at it from the sides first, like get rid of all the branches. Then dig it out a little." He could hear Denver explaining to Marc. But all BAKA thought was that this wasn't going to take one day, seemed like a big job.
