Just like Her Westcity

as reply to driving to westcity

The years of avoiding everyone and everything fearing for his life seemed fast behind him. Instead he felt relieved, for some reason BAKA leaving him was like a storm cloud gave way to a sunny sky.

He felt lighter, he didn't really have any worries right now. Just to get to
Westcity
he wanted a coffee, from a specific cafe. Sparrow's or something. He was probably close to two hours away.

He rolled the window down, and the air felt familiar. Like it had just been waiting for him.

At the same time he felt her keep moving west, it was hot and getting hotter he thought.

While there there was snow. Not so much but a little a dusting, a thin layer of white on everywhere but the road. He was going a little slower than seventy so a few cars passed him every few minutes, but the roads were quiet. No one needed to really be anywhere.

It was one pm. Too early for the commuters to start their long journeys home and too late for anyone picking up lunch. He could feel in his stomach he was hungry, but all he craved were slim jims from the gas station.

Just like her.
