He had driven all this way. With a purpose. Like a bird flying home for the winter. But he wasn’t from here. He was staying at some hotel and now she could see from the window. Just to sit in a pizza restaurant.
She had a weird feeling like she was looking into someone’s house. He was sitting alone drinking a soft drink or something. She sat in the car, pretending to be one her phone.
Why would he come here the town had McDonalds, a Wendys. He didn’t need to come here. Why stay for two days?
She was so confused. She wrote this in her notes app. Underneath was a list for her grocery shopping that she had never gotten too.
Then she saw something. A man walk to BAKA’s table. He was wearing an apron. He stopped and talked for a little, then longer, then he gave him some bread. BAKA originally said no it seemed but then accepted.
Was this his friend? Why wouldn’t he just stay with him. It was all strange.
