"Wait I thought his name was spelled Marc not Mark?"

How did his wife know that he had said Mark instead of Marc? didn't both names sound the same? Wasn't the spelling only something you could see?

He stared at her. They locked eyes for a bit then she looked away. George felt like something was off. Now he felt like she was also part of this whole Truman Show like cast.

George felt like there were two solutions here. Either stick around here and investigate what was happening. Or to up and leave. Just get in the car and press the gas pedal until he was as far away as possible. Then and only then putting more fuel in the tank. He had close to a full tank in his memory. He could do it. He had pumped air into the tires just a few weekends ago. A tail to pipe check less than a year ago. He was ready to go. Just need to throw a few shirts and underwear into a duffle bag and hit the road.

He went upstairs to their bedroom and threw things into a black duffel bag. He didn't even shave. Didn't even pack a razor or a toothbrush. He would get those along the way.
