kevin returns home Westcity

as reply to Sleep

Kevin lived in a small city compared to the kind of places corporate was located. But it was considered the big city compared to the small town he had grew up in. His graduating class had had only 200 kids and some of those kids had been from nearby townships that were too small to have their own school. Some of these kids would drive over 10 miles just to get into school. This was normal. A lot of these kids drove big trucks that would guzzle gas. Gas was cheaper back then so it was okay.

Kevin lived in a residential developement in town. When Kevin would tell his college friends where he was from they would laugh and call him a country boy. This made him feel a bit uncomfortable because the developement his parents lived in actually was basically a boring suburb. The same as what his college friends had grown up in. Well a little less fancy but nothing like the country outback they imagined him being from.

Back when Kevin had been anxiously driving around looking for things to do... something to free himself from this small town,
Westcity
felt like a haven of freedom. Hip people lived there. There were bars and cafes that served craft beer and coffee not just bud light and kroger coffee.

Now he was living in Westcity and he felt like it was a rink a dink sleepy town compared to the places corporate flew him out to.
