The landing was smooth, again it was weird Kevin thought. Steve had told him last time they always train people on flights like this, so usually people aren't the best. This time though, smooth as silk.
The flight attendants thanked him and Steve and they were off. Through to baggage and then out to the car. Steve's car, Kevin lived down town and didn't really need a car. His dad always used to tell him to try to avoid having a car. Just burns a hole through your pocket.
"Does your car smell like its been cleaned." Kevin asked.
"Huh, uh." Steve looked around the car, he didn't really notice there were still cans of sparkling water in the back, and his Stanely cup in the cup holder.
"I uh, I don't think so."
But for Kevin it did seem nicer, like someone did all the details, but nothing of the big stuff.
"Maybe just been away for too long."
At his house he had the same feeling, but didn't tell Steve. Its not like he could, a grown man text him. But he thought it smelt different. Like someone had been inside, or that there was less of his smell there. He guess that would happen eventually, but it felt like someone was here, then they left, and it was like they created a vacuum.
