He didn't have a map though. And his battery was at 2%. It would turn 1% at any second he could feel it. And once it was 1% he knew it would die at any given moment. He decided then to just turn it off. He was going to an unknown place. Probably better to conserve the little battery that remained just in case he needed to make an emergency call later.
The breakup with this girl had not been bad at all. They even grabbed coffee and stuff and she would talk about her current boyfriend. In fact this made Jack feel a bit sad. It would make him feel better actually had the breakup been bad enough that she refused to see him. But now that she saw him as sort of a friend this hurt his ego. He thought this was toxic and was ashamed of it. So he couldn't tell anyone. Not even Drew, one of his most open minded friends. Maybe one day he could tell Drew. They weren't close enough for that yet.
They had a chemistry though. They weren't good friends yet, but Jack knew with enough time they could become close friends.
Jack stared out the window as the bus growled on, carrying him west towards
Westcity
. He wondered what it was that the ex girlfriend had. He wondered this while squinting out the window, catching glimpses of his reflection every so often in the glass.
