He wondered what Keith thought about all this. Why he was up here with all of them. Most of the time he felt like a degenerate, he felt like they were all degenerates compared to him. That’s part of the reason he was there, sort of hoping it would sort him out. Definitely hoping it would get rid of all his debt. But Keith it didn’t seem like that. It seemed like he was or already learned all he needed from up there. Like he was some sort of older brother.
It didn’t make sense why he was here, why he was there for so long, all the benefits were surely gone. Or surely there was nothing new.
He vowed to himself he wouldn’t fall into something like that. Repetition like that he wouldn’t get stuck he thought.
He knew Keith also did other stuff. He had his hands in many places. He even could make coffee without the baristas. Something that didn’t make sense to Pete. They told everyone on the first day no one else was allowed. Then why could Keith?
He tossed and turned some more. Then finally drifted to sleep.
