Keith would be the most sad of them all. But he'd also be the least judgemental. that's the kind of man he was. He felt for you. rooted for you. But when you fucked up he wouldn't be there to spit on you. He'd have a hand out. Maybe not a hand reaching out to touch your hand, but a hand with a mug of coffee in it that would make you want to get up yourself and drink a cup of joe together.

Pete still remembered the coffees they drank together up in Spacecity. The ones that stuck with him the most were the ones they drank together at night when almost everybody else was asleep.

He didn't have that feeling down here anymore. The closest thing, and it was even close at all, was gooning with his friend online. The guy said he was in Nebraska, but Pete couldn't know for sure whether that was true. Could be made up for all he knew. Pete himself was lying and saying that he lived in Minnesota. Close enough he thought. Midwest, state that began with an M. Why not?

Pete didn't know what to do next though. He'd just finished a gooning session and the Nebraskan had to go do something in real life. It was evening... Friday. The kind of time where people would have to have plans, or feel the heaviness of being alone.
