This is not a John Wick slander.
I think it's a travesty calling Keanu Reeves John Wick rather than Neo. I know it's because of social media. Kids today have no idea how huge The Matrix was.
When you try to educate the kids about the awesomeness that was before social media, they say it's nostalgia.
Shame.
Personally, The Matrix is a bigger movie than John Wick. The stakes were higher and it's such a complex classic. John Wick is an action epic. The Matrix is a mind-bending work of art.
I do agree that John Wick 3 is a masterpiece and with the plans for John Wick 4 & 5, the John Wick franchise might just leave The Matrix in its shadows forever.
So in my mind, it's Neo, not John Wick.
Maybe not for long tho.

For me Keanu Reaves was the best in Speed. Then he totally lost how to act. Every movie since has been the same expression on his face. But Neo > John absolutely.
