August 2nd 2021

I woke up on refreshed this morning. No alarms. No noise. No disruptions. Woke up when my body said I was done resting. My Oura informed me that I had slept very well and I was ready for a good day energy-wise.

I did some breathing exercises. I have been thinking about Wim Hoff and his breathing techniques lately. I would like to try them at some point.

Then I arranged my bed and went outdoors. A recent podcast I read mentioned the advantages of being outdoors and allowing your eyes to get sunlight within 30 minutes of waking up. It was the first time I deliberately allowed myself to do this right after waking up. It actually felt good. The sun wasn't that strong and the breeze felt good on my face. I stayed outside for a solid 10 minutes walking leisurely. I was surprised at the mood boost I got from that short activity.

I then proceeded to get ready for the day. I packed my lunch and set out to WeWork.
I drove for 35 minutes and managed to get a good parking spot. I went to my favorite section and got myself some tea with milk - Indian Chai. Next, I proceeded to get 2 big items off my to-do list.

Some interesting things - I signed up to Oprah's book club. (I will share the why in a post in the near future)
I signed up to Critiquecircle. I want people to critique my work cause I have to improve. I am a fan of getting brutal feedback. It is the fastest way to improve.
I took a masterclass for writing by Malcom Gladwell. The man is interesting even while he is teaching a course. And I picked up a few tricks. I intend to put to use in posts in the future.

I documented my day on my google sheet tracker and called it a day.

I left WeWork and met some friends for dinner. Talked about old times and had a good time.

A nice day.
Sounds like you're off to a great start. Boy, it would be great to chart my own path during the day instead of being beholden to blurk.

Thanks Brandon. We could all do so much good in the 8 hours a day we give to work.
