Hawaii

"A friend of mine is going to Hawaii for a six-month contract gig. He's getting a house there and said he might just retire there. Depending on how things work out, I may just decide to move there and do the same."

"I've never been to Hawaii. I don't really have an interest in going."

"What!? Why not? It's beautiful there."

"Well, too much water for one. I don't swim. I've been living in the desert over twenty years. You think I suddenly want to be surrounded by the ocean?"

"I suppose island life isn't for everyone."

"And it's expensive. If I'm going to be dropping that kind of cashola, I'd rather go to Europe."

"Have you ever been to Europe?"

"No, but it's on my bucket list. Back to Hawaii, the other big drawback is too much pineapple."

"That's where you can get the freshest pineapple in the world!"

"I don't care whether it's fresh or stale, I cannot stand pineapple. I steer clear of any Hawaiin-themed restaurant because I know they are going to pretend to put pineapple in all their dishes."

"Boy, what did pineapple ever do to you?"

"I was forced to eat it when I was a kid. I got sick and threw up. I can't even smell it without getting dry heaves."

"Well, that leaves more for the rest of us."
