When it comes to learning something, it's the to do so that's primary at the beginning.
Without it nobody gets started. Why do you think so many local for or exist? Is it because the organizers are such talented gurus who can offer insights that can't be found on the internet?
No. It's because there's so many people who want to try getting into it, but they for whatever reason don't believe they can/should. These meetings aren't about getting the best knowledge or guidance. It's a chance to allow for people to finally give themselves some permission to try.
When a person finally tries something after finding permission, then even if they don't learn much or they quit after finding out they don't enjoy it, then that permission was the true point.
Because in this , all that we seek, is the permission to be okay with however ours' turns out.

i think realizing that the only person's permission that we need is our own is really empowering.
It was quite late at night and i didn't feel much like writing. But then after reading your post and looking through your self portrait reel this idea came to me.
