There were also photos posted by Casey. He was at some show tonight. Posing with the band. He was "in" over there in
Westcity
. The respected musicians and venue managers knew him. Gave him free drinks. The bartenders knew him even better. Whenever Casey ordered a drink, it came spiked with double the booze.
All good things considering Casey was dead broke. Even sold his own
plasma
to fund his life.
There was a message. The Facebook website now featured a live updating icon for when you got a new message. And the interface looked more like a text messaging one.
"Yo. Why you awake so late?"
"I'm hanging with Jimmy. What about you?"
"I'm about to crash. But just saw that you were online. I'm coming to visit you as soon as I have enough cash. Next weekend I should be down. Got to donate plasma twice in the next few days is all."
