yo Imogen Howe

as reply to Drove home

He usually didn't have much to say in particular on any given day. The two texted each other more out of habit. Sort of like the digital version of cavemen grunting at each other with no communicative intent other than saying 'i am here. I see you over there.'

But on this day he wanted to tell him about
Imogen Howe
. He didn't say it outright though. Although once he was driving he realized that he should've said it directly in the first text. Instead of asking "what's good in NYC." he could've directly texted, "I think I'm in love : )". But because he had asked how Aaron was doing, it made him feel guilty for baiting him. Just asking how Aaron was doing so that he could spill his own beans.

So it was a surprise to see Aaron's response later. He hadn't left the car yet. Was still in the driveway.

"got fired. fuck this shit."

Well now he really couldn't tell him about Imogen. That wasn't the end of the world though. And he was a bit curious of what happened.

"Time for a call?" Alan texted back. He took his seat belt out but remained seated.

The phone rang.

"Yo."

"Yo," Aaron emphasized to highlight he didn't say yo like Alan did. ", fucker."
