So that's how it began. How Jack and
Imogen Howe
began speaking with
English
accents. And in fact... they even began calling Jack by a new name Kieth. Jack didn't know where the name came from. But he went with it. And he was happy because the two of them were driving across the country speaking like a merry new couple.
Also Jack had never spoken in an English accent before. He knew it was common for
American
to pretend to speak like a brit. But Jack had never been one to give it a try. He preferred placing his efforts into other things such as hitting the gym really hard.
Within four days they were already out west. Jack had suggested going east. He had spent most of his adult life out west and was sick of it. But Imogen insisted... no didn't even need to insist. Said plainly... West is where we're going. There's a motel by the sea. That's where we will stay.
